Kenny Xu files for Congress in District 13

Kenny Xu filed his notice of candidacy with The North Carolina State Board of Elections on Monday, December 4, 2023.
Xu is running in the 13th Congressional District. The district covers a half-dozen counties (Caswell, Person, Franklin, Johnston, Harnett, Lee) in full, most of Granville, and about a third of Wake County. The 13th District is currently represented by Democratic Rep. Wiley Nickel, but due to the redistricting map recently enacted by the General Assembly, the district now leans Republican and Nickel has chosen not to seek re-election.
Kenny Xu has raised over $110k for his campaign and has garnered former NC Governor Jim Martin's endorsement.
"I believe that with hard work, anyone can achieve great things," says Kenny.
